GENERAL ACCOUNTANT

Laura Shulda is a strong general ledger accountant with over 20 years of experience in the general accounting field. She maintains a robust supplementary knowledge in the payroll & sales tax and human resources arenas as well. Laura’s longstanding career has been driven by opportunities to work in a variety of industries, company sizes and accounting software solutions.

As a General Accountant, Laura oversees and performs the accounting and bookkeeping services provided by AEGIS Financial Consulting, LLC. With an extensive background, she holds a unique and adaptable skill set to ensure efficient and effective accounting operations can be achieved for our clients. Laura’s experience includes general ledger accounting & bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, account reconciliations, job costing, sales tax, payroll tax, financial statement preparation & reporting and audit administration. Her accounting software experience extends to Sage50/Peachtree, Quickbooks and Xero.

Prior to joining AEGIS, Laura held roles as Finance Manager, Controller, Accounting Supervisor and General Ledger Accountant in industries including non-profit entities, education, commercial construction, earth remediation, asphalt throughway & repair, concrete solutions and general road construction for municipalities.

Before working with AEGIS, Laura worked with regional and local companies such as the International School of Denver, Trainor Construction and Brannan Sand & Gravel.

Laura holds an associate degree in Accounting from AIMS College in Greely, Colorado and is a Colorado native. She currently lives with her husband in Brighton, Colorado and enjoys spending time in the mountains, especially watching for wildlife, reading and photography.
